dc.description.abstract	Tato práce pojednává o současném skloňovaném pojmu Britishness především ve smyslu úpadku a poukazuje na fakt, že jednotlivé národy žijící ve Velké Británii inklinují ke svým národním identitám spíše než k identitě Britské. Klade si za cíl přiblížit současnou situaci a objasnit otazky: Co vedlo k těmto debatám? Co způsobilo úpadek? Byla to jen velká vlna přistěhovalců ze zemí rozpadlého Britského impéria? A jak vůbec definovat Britishness? Kdo je považován za Brita a kdo se jím skutečně cítí. Jednou z odpovědí na řešení této situace je rozšíření školních osnov o předmět "Život v UK - soužití s rozdíly od kterého si Britská vláda slibuje posílení sociální soudržnosti.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This work deals with contemporary, frequently discussed notion of Britishness especially in the sense of decline and points to the fact that the individual nations living in Great Britain tend to identify with their national identity rather than to the British one. The goal of this paper is to examine the contemporary position and to unravel questions: what stirred these debates? What caused the decline? Was it just a huge wave of immigrants from the countries of the dissolved British Empire? How to define Britishness at all? Who is considered British and who actually feels British? One possible solution of this situation would be to broaden the national curriculum to include a new subject: "Life in the UK-Living with difference'q from which the British government awaits strengthening the social cohesion.	en
