Abstract: | The aim of this work is analysis of the training and education system of the Bata Company during the 1920s and 1930s in Zlin. In the first part I investigate what led the founder of Bata to create their own system of corporate education and training of their employees. Another part deals with the influence of Bata Company on the Reform Experimental Schools. Here, i want to denote the trend of education of pupils in the spirit of the Bata factories since early childhood. In the next part I examine corporate school abroad. Here I focus on two American firm Ford Motor Company and Hershey Chocolate Company, which directly inspired Bata Company in their training system. Then I looked at the first corporate school in Czechoslovakia, Bata School of Work. I focused on how the firm trained its prospective employees, what benefits the company brought in the fight with the competition. The last part is devoted to the Bata's welfare education, to which was used the system of workers participation in profits and losses and the system of workshops autonomy. The work is based on the hypothesis that the training and education system of the Bata Company was for the firm economically profitable and contributed its competitiveness in the global market. |
