dc.description.abstract	Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumat jazyk a diskurz vybraných amerických prezidentských debat v roce 2016 a 2020. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část popisuje vývoj rétoriky napříč historií, význam jazyka a jeho stylů, dále se zaměřuje na jazyk v politice a politický diskurz a v neposlední řadě charakteristikou prezidentských debat. Praktická část se věnuje analýze vybraných amerických prezidentských debat. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na jazyk a diskurz. V závěru práce jsou specifikovány zjištěné poznatky.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse the language and discourse of selected American presidential debates 2016 and 2020. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the development of rhetoric throughout history, the meaning of language and its styles, focuses on the language of politics and political discourse, and last but not least characterizes presidential debates. The practical part is dedicated to the analysis of selected American presidential debates. Specifically, it focuses on language and discourse. At the end of the thesis, conclusions are specified.
