Effectiveness Comparison of the Bata and Svit Enterprises in Two Different Periods of Time

Abstract

Předmětem bakalářské práce je finanční porovnání dvou odlišných historických období existence velké obuvnické firmy ve Zlíně. Srovnávám ekonomické hospodaření v Baťových závodech ve dvacátých letech a v nastupujícím národním podniku Svit v šedesátých letech minulého století, tedy politicky a ekonomicky dvě zcela rozdílná období v historii Československa. Podnik je podroben finanční analýze v obou obdobích, kdy jsou ukazatele vybírány především dle dostupnosti účetních dat. Závěrečným kritériem pro srovnání těchto zcela rozdílných výsledných hodnot jsou makroekonomické ukazatele (národní důchod, průmyslová výroba), které udávaly tehdejší vývoj prosperity státu

This bachelor thesis is focused on a financial comparison of two different historical periods of the existence of a large shoe company in Zlín. I compare the economic management of Bata factories in the twenties and emerging national company Svit in the sixties of last century, politically and economically two completely different periods in the history of Czechoslovakia. The company is subjected to financial analysis in both periods, when the indicators are selected primarily based on availability of accounting data. The final criterion for the comparison of completely different final values are macroeconomic indicators (national income, industrial production), signalizing the development of the state prosperity.
